Paige Parker

Dr. Paige L. Parker is a lifelong, interdisciplinary teacher/learner who, over a wide span of years, has earned three Masters degrees in Education, Communication and Psychology from Bank Street College of Education, Stanford University, and the California School of Professional Psychology respectively. Dr. Parker earned her doctoral degree in Humanities with an emphasis in Transformative Learning and Change from the California Institute of Integral Studies.

Before coming to Walden Dr. Parker served for eleven years as core faculty in Human Development at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena California. At Walden she has taught a variety of interdisciplinary courses while concurrently serving as a Development Consultant for non-profit agencies who render a multitude of services to children and families. Her research interests focus primarily on developing methods to assist teachers and human service providers to understand the critical impact historical trauma and impoverished conditions can have in the development of attitudes and behaviors displayed by their clients.

Dr. Parker has taught at Walden for the past ten years, and is currently assigned as Contributing Faculty in Walden's School of Human Services.
