Dr. Nyshetia Chapman is a part-time contributing faculty member in the Barbara Solomon School of Social Work. She earned her doctorate and master’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama. She also earned a master’s degree in educational psychology from the University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Chapman is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Alabama with 15 years of practice experience in mental health. She has worked in outpatient and inpatient mental health settings with children, adolescents, older adults, and families. In her free time she enjoys, reading, being outdoors, and arts and craft projects.
