Dr. Nina Nabors currently serves as the Senior Director for Academic Quality for the School of Psychology. She has served Walden University in a variety of roles over the past 17 years. From mid 2016 through early 2018, Dr. Nabors served as Director for Academic Quality with a 7 month stint as Interim Program Director for the DBA program during the same period. Prior to that she served as Residency Coordinator and Clinical Psychology core faculty for the past 8 years. Dr. Nabors served as Associate Dean for Psychology from 2007-2010 and served as Assistant Dean for Faculty Development for CSBS from 2005-2007. Dr. Nabors served as contributing faculty and as chair of the Clinical Psychology program from 2001-2005. Additional service at Walden includes participating on working groups for several accreditation efforts and the Diversity and Inclusion working group. Dr. Nabors received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Florida in 1994. Prior to full time work at Walden University, she was a tenured Associate Professor at Eastern Michigan University and has also served as assistant professor at Central Michigan University. Dr. Nabors has an active research agenda currently focused on mental health stigma. Other research interests include, Psychology of Women, Multicultural Psychology, Womanist/Feminist Therapy, Women with Disabilities and Rehabilitation Psychology. She has numerous publications and presentations on these topics over the past 25 years. She has also served in a variety of leadership positions at the Association for Women In Psychology. Dr. Nabors is a licensed psychologist in the state of Michigan and board certified in Rehabilitation Psychology. She has a part time private practice focused on multicultural psychology and related issues. She is married and resides in Southeast Michigan with her spouse and 13 year son Jeremiah who attended his first Walden University event at 6 months of age.
