Dr. Nicole Square serves as the Nursing Education Coordinator for Educational Services. She served as the Clinical Educator for the Newborn/Infant Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where she coordinated continuing education/in-services for nursing staff and nursing orientation and managed annual competency validation. Her professional background includes over 16 years of experience in both clinical and leadership positions, classroom and clinical teaching experience, and program development. Dr. Square is also certified in neonatal intensive care nursing as well as nursing professional development. She belongs to professional nursing organizations relevant to nursing professional development and the care of infants/neonates.
Dr. Square’s research interests include nursing education and the use of technology in clinical education. She has served as a presenter for numerous local, regional, and national conferences and published articles in professional nursing journals. In 2013, she was recognized as a nominee for Outstanding Nurse Researcher and in 2007 as a nominee for Mentor of the Year by the Louisiana State Nurses Association.
