Monique Lynch is an educator who enjoys helping teachers improve their practice. She started as a secondary mathematics teacher and has worked in instructional technology, teacher preparation, professional organization leadership, and higher education accreditation.
Monique's research interests are varied. She is passionate about improving mathematics instruction for all students and that often includes educating parents and families about mathematics learning and teaching. She is also interested in the role of technology in education.
Monique is active in professional organizations including the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) where she was formerly employed as the Senior Director of Professional Development and Accreditation. Through her work with NCTM, she was able to connect with great minds in mathematics education. She is currently serving on an NCTM Task Force writing standards for the preparation of new mathematics teachers.
Monique enjoys presenting at conferences and workshops that allow her to interact directly with current teachers. Her role at Walden as a Program Director for the MSED program also allows her to interact with current teachers regularly.
