Dr. Michelle McCraney began her career in 1991 and has worked as an ESE teacher, assistant principal, and principal at the elementary through high school levels. She was also the executive director of the State of Florida’s first Charter Technical Career Center, and she was the administrator for two campus libraries, six writing centers, and eight academic support centers at a state college. Her expertise includes: Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (CIA), Educational Leadership, and Special Education.
In 2007, Dr. McCraney joined Walden University's Richard Riley College of Education and Leadership, Doctoral Program. She has chaired and participated in dissertation committees, and teaches in the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Program. Her research interests include topics related to special education teacher education, transition of special education students, educational leadership, and curriculum, instruction and assessment.
