Maryln Fisher is a graduate of Capella University, where she obtained her PhD in Organization Management with an emphasis in Accounting. She holds a Masters in Taxation from the American University and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Maryland.
She has over 25 years of experience in public accounting in which she is the owner of her accounting and tax practice. She has implemented accounting information systems for her clients as well as prepares different aspects of business transactions and the financial statements. She has also worked in Washington, D.C. for The Bureau of National Affairs where she helped design tax software.
Maryln has over 25 years teaching both in the classroom and online. She worked full time while completing her PhD online, which makes her aware of the challenges facing the student that is trying to balance family, work and school.
She is married with two grown sons. When the family is not working, they enjoy water sports and traveling.
