Dr. Tan comes to Walden University after more than fifteen years of teaching and service in clinical and nursing education. Since 2006, she developed many unique academic courses that relied on the impact of technologies and online learning in nursing; she also served as the Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Grants and Allied Health Research; received the Mississippi Science Teacher in Excellence Award for contributions to nursing and science. Before joining the South faculty she directed associate degrees in nursing at Holmes Community College. She is a Life Long Member of Mississippi Academy of Science, as well as a former president Theta Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International and chapter mentor, and has received grants for her contributions to pancreatic cancer research. She continues to strive for excellence in nursing education and scholarship by publishing annual scholarly works. Currently my role at Walden is contributing faculty. My concentration is teaching NURS3100.
