Dr. Pinon is the Academic Coordinator for the M.S. in Psychology and the M.S. and Ph.D. Developmental Psychology programs at Walden. Dr. Pinon’s training is in developmental psychology, with a research emphasis on the influences of electronic media on children. She has over 20 years of teaching and research experience. Formerly an assistant professor in psychology at Texas State University, Dr. Pinon was also a research director for The Psychological Corporation, where she developed early childhood and school-aged achievement and developmental tests. She was also the Vice President of Programs at Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago. Dr. Pinon has numerous presentations and published articles in several journals, including Child Development and has authored a book chapter in Bayley-III Clinical Use and Interpretation. Dr. Pinon has been with Walden since 2009.
