Dr. Trevino Meyer is a licensed eligible clinical psychologist, living in West Des Moines, Iowa. She earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from The University of Iowa in July, 2007. She previously provided individual, group and family psychotherapy to children and adolescents within an outpatient community mental health clinic. In addition to this, Dr. Trevino Meyer conducted psychological assessments of children and adolescents, utilizing various personality, intellectual, behavioral and social-emotional measurement tools. Her doctoral dissertation research focused on how home schooling serves children with special needs across the State of Iowa.
At Walden University, Dr. Trevino Meyer teaches multiple classes that make up the Master of Science in Early Childhood Studies. These include Foundations: Early Childhood; Early Childhood Development; Effective Programs and Practices; Issues and Trends in Early Childhood; Perspectives, Diversity and Equity; Planning and Management of Early Childhood Programs; and Strategies for Working with Diverse Children.
