Loraine Fleming, DNP, APR, PMHNP-BC, PMHCNS-BC

Dr. Fleming has been a psychiatric nurse practitioner for over 20 years. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings providing direct patient care to children, adolescent and adult patients. She has also worked as a faculty member, teaching both undergraduate and graduate nursing and health services students. In addition, she has serviced as a hospital and nursing administrator at a number of organizations in different states. Dr. Fleming has authored articles and chapters of nursing texts and been involved in clinical research in psychiatry as well as oncology. Her doctoral research related to the impact coercive interventions have on both patients and staff. Currently Dr. Fleming worked as the Sr. Director of Psychiatric Nursing at a major medical center in Virginia. Dr. Fleming also served as a clinical editor for an international publishing and analytics company specializing in scientific and medical content. She also teaches graduate students in a psychiatric nurse practitioner program and works with staff at a learning center to develop and review psychiatric nursing skills.
