Dr. Ljubica Spiro received a MEd in Community Counseling and a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from Kent State University. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of Ohio, a licensed professional counselor and a certified professional clinical supervisor in the state of Georgia.
Her clinical experience includes treating adolescents, adults, couples and families, specializing in the treatment of severe and persistent mental health issues.
Dr. Spiro has been an educator for 12 years, serving as a faculty member, faculty support development coordinator, student development coordinator, and associate department chair. She has taught counseling courses in the USA and abroad. Her research interests include multicultural issues in counseling and supervision, international counseling, and cross-cultural mentoring. Dr. Spiro is very active in professional counseling associations. She attends and presents at state, regional, and national counseling associations every year, often co-presenting with colleagues and students.
