Dr. Lowrie, received her BSS from Penn State University, her MSW from Temple University, and her Doctor of Social Work from Kutztown University and Millersville University. She is employed as Director of Advocacy and Consumer Relations for The Bradley Center, a non-profit organization in Pittsburgh, PA. Her professional expertise is in children’s mental health, policy, regulation, and legislation. Dr. Lowrie has volunteered locally and nationally for the American Red Cross and currently is a member of the Middle Creek Search and Rescue Team in Central Pennsylvania. Her areas of research interest are disaster mental health, the culture of generational cohorts, technology and the social worker, and retention in the human services workforce. Dr. Lowrie also has a consulting company with a focus on helping behavioral health agencies improve organizational quality as well as training development and presentation. Dr. Lowrie enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing board games, listening to music, dancing to music, and traveling.
