Lisa M. Kangas, Ph.D. has served in various higher education leadership roles and has taught for more than 16 years. Dr. Kangas served as a director for Academic Affairs and has been a consultant for 10 years. In addition, she has more than 20 years of business experience, working for several Fortune 100 companies in various roles, including a technology buyer for a major data recovery company. At Walden University, Dr. Kangas, is a lead faculty for Strategic Management and Innovation for Competitive Advantage and Leadership courses, and core faculty member, who teaches a variety of courses, including doctoral mentoring and capstone courses. Dr. Kangas serves as a chair and on numerous doctoral student research committees.
Dr. Kangas's current research interests include sustainability development goals, innovation, trends in higher education, social change leaders, leadership, and emerging technologies. She has presented at over 10 conferences, has published numerous articles, and has written several chapters in books. In 2017, she was recognized as collaborator of the year by one of her primary clients for her consulting and research work.
