Dr. Linda Steele has been involved in higher education for over 40 years, teaching and directing Nurse Practitioner Programs throughout the country. She has been awarded over 1.5 million dollars in both federal, state and local monies to develop NP Programs in rural areas and further her research agenda. She has maintained a clinical practice as a Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner throughout her career. She has worked in all areas of Adult and Women's Health, notably in the VA system and in Hospice. She has volunteered in many Free Clinics serving the indigent members of her local communities for over 25 years. She currently works with women with cancer in a holistic healing practice. She served for one year as the Adult Gerontology Coordinator at Walden University and for the past five years as the NP Program Director.
