Linda Holcomb, Ed.D. received her doctoral degree from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. In previous years she has been the Elementary Coordinator, Trainer and Mentor, and Reading Specialist for Cherokee County Public Schools in western North Carolina. Her career includes experience as an elementary classroom teacher in both public and private schools. She has been an instructor for Walden University for the last eighteen years.

Dr. Holcomb's favorite traveling experience is whale watching off the coast of Hawaii. She and her husband, Steve, recently went on a cruise where they saw these gorgeous creatures off the coast of Alaska. What an awesome experience!

Improving the education and lives of our children has been a major focus of her life. She continues to research effective literacy practices to help students and practices them on her grandchildren!
