Dr. Davis’s formal education is in educational leadership specializing in math education. She has served in numerous positions over her career including high school teacher, college professor, and government contractor. Her most recent experience has been in the development and teaching of fully online college mathematics courses. At Walden University, she has taught College Math, Introduction to College Algebra, and Statistical Methods, where she serves as the lead faculty.
Dr. Davis has made numerous national and regional presentations at National Council of Teachers of Mathematics conferences including Calgary and Knoxville. The topic was presented to teachers and was titled “How to Teach Students to Study Mathematics”. She has also written two textbooks Applied College Algebra and Trigonometry, Prentice Hall, 1990, 2000, 2003 and Applied College Algebra and Trigonometry with Calculus, Prentice Hall, 1990, 2000, 2003. Dr. Davis is a member of American Mathematical Association for Two Year Colleges. She is a certified reviewer for Quality Matters, a national nonprofit organization that certifies that online classes meet a minimum quality supported by current research.
