Dr. LeVita Bassett has worked for the government in Washington, DC, for the past 30 years, where she served in mid- and senior-level management roles for the past 18 years. Dr. Bassett has an extensive professional and educational background in areas such as management, human resource management, governmental finance, and auxiliary services. Dr. Bassett began working at Howard University in March 2023 in the Office of Auxiliary Enterprises.

Dr. Bassett loves to learn and considers herself to be a lifelong learner. Her love for learning sharpened her desire to become a collegiate educator. In 2019, Dr. Bassett began her teaching career. She served on numerous doctoral dissertation committees and taught both organizational development and human resource classes. Dr. Bassett was hired by Walden University in 2020 as a Contributing Faculty – Doctoral Programs.
