Letitia Steed

Dr. Letitia Steed is currently an Account Manager for a Medicaid Company in Pennsylvania. In addition, she teaches for two other universities. Her formal training is in social work, a field where she has served different populations on the "front line" for over 20 years. She has a varied background that started in law enforcement while serving in the Army Reserved for 16 years. She then began her social work career with the Department of Children & Youth, moving on to the medical field as a Pediatric Trauma Social Worker then a Hospice Social Worker encompassing teaching and training.
Dr. Steed has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Master's Degree in Social Work, and her Doctorate Degree in Human Services. Dr. Steed develops training in trauma-informed care as well as she presents at national conferences. At Walden University, she will be teaching graduate-level social work courses and looks forward to working with future doctoral student dissertation committees. Dr. Steed is a graduate of Walden University and her primary focus continues to be preparing social workers for meeting individuals of all cultures where they are, in the moment. Dr. Steed is a member of the National Organization of Human Services as well as serves on the board.
