Dr. LeAnn M. Morgan earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Northern Colorado and has been a counselor educator for over 20 years. She has served as an Assistant and Associate Professor of Counseling in clinical mental health and school counseling programs across the country, including the University of Memphis, Northern Illinois University, the University of Texas at Tyler, and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She currently serves as Core Faculty in the School Counseling Program, within Walden's School of Counseling. Her early counseling experience was with adolescents and their families, both in the community and school settings, but she now has a private practice where she specializes in working with women and work/life stressors. She is a former School-to-Career Coordinator and High School Counselor in Colorado. She is a Certified School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado, as well as a Certified Career Counselor Educator (CCCE), Certified Clinical Supervisor of Career Counseling (CCSCC), National Certified Counseling (NCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). She is a former board member and Division President (Counseling and Career Guidance) of the Colorado Association for Career and Technical Education (CACTE), Governing Board Member of the Colorado Career Development Association (CCDA), and served for four years on the Colorado School Counselor Association (CSCA) Governing Board. She is a past chair of the National Career Development Association's (NCDA) Teaching and Education Council, where she helped to set the criteria for educational programs and credentialing reviews for career practitioners. She also served on NCDA's Credentialing Commission as the Commissioner for the Certified Clinical Supervisor of Career Counseling (CCSCC) and Certified School Career Development Advisor (CSCDA) credentials. She currently serves on the School Counselor Educator Advisory Board for "College Counseling Now," a research group within the Center for Equity and Postsecondary Attainment, and as an Associate Editor for the Asia Pacific Career Development Association (APCDA) Journal. Her research interests include leader development in counselor education programs, counselor supervision, training, and accountability, Artificial Intelligence (AI) use and misuse in counselor education programs, K-12 career development, and career counseling with military veterans and other adults in transition.
