Dr. LaVerne Ware joined Walden University in February 2018 as a Contributing Faculty Member in the School of Counseling and Human Services. She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), certified professional counselor supervisor (CPCS) and certified, k-12 school counselor in the state of Georgia. She has been in the field of Counseling since 1995. Her professional experiences include Counseling Coordinator, Professional School Counselor, and Counselor Educator. Also, she was named Georgia’s Region 3 Counselor of the Year and was a recipient of the National Planning for Life Award. Dr. Ware has presented at both national and state professional counseling conferences. Her clinical interests include teens and anxiety, eating disorders, and depression.

She earned her PhD in Counselor Education from Capella University, her MEd and EdS in School Counseling from the University of West Georgia, an MEd in Education Leadership from the University of Georgia, and her BS in Criminal Justice from the University of West Georgia.
