Dr. Weidner has worked in education since 1973 when she completed her studies in secondary education (specializing in history) for her bachelor's degree and teaching reading in secondary education for her Master's degree. She completed her Ph.D. in Education, specializing in Community College leadership to supplement her 25 years of experience in community college leadership positions. Since 2011 she has worked at Walden University in various positions in the RWR College of Education including teaching core education courses, mentoring KAM students, assessing KAMs, mentoring dissertation students, serving as content expert chair and members on dissertation committees, and serving as a URR. Her areas of interest are primarily in adult education and leadership, higher education, workforce development and training, adult literacy, and English as a Second Language. She enjoys working with and understanding the experiences of front line workers.
