Dr. Laura M. Lentenbrink holds multiple educational degrees to include a PhD in Health Services from Walden University, Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Post Graduate Functional Minor/Nursing Education from Wayne State University, MS/Nursing Administration from Andrews University, and BSN from Nazareth College. She currently serves as contributing part-time faculty with the Walden University College of Health Services. Laura is a licensed registered nurse and attorney in the State of Michigan. Before serving Borgess Health as Vice President-Human Resources for over 20 years, she held numerous leadership roles which included Vice President of Nursing and Director of Patient Care Services. While in these positions, she provided clinical and non-clinical operational and executive leadership. Her experience also includes organizational education and development leadership, service as a Professor at Andrews University where she taught “Legal Aspects of Healthcare Administration” to graduate level nursing students, functioning as an Instructor for “Fundamentals of Nursing” at Nazareth College, and tenure as a Consultant Trainer for the Michigan Department of Public Health. Ms. Lentenbrink has been appointed as a health systems leader for national initiatives, has served on multiple community boards, and has published in the areas of nursing shared governance, nursing management and Human Resources.
