Larissa Barclay received her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Oakland University in Michigan in 2010. She is a new part-time faculty member in the School of Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Dr. Barclay is nationally certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and a Certified Wound Care Nurse. She is licensed to practice in Michigan and Ohio, and has a small Michigan-based private practice. Dr. Barclay has worked in many clinical and leadership capacities, which include Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Dean of Nursing, Director of Nursing, Director of Health Services, and Assistant Professor. Her research interests include student learning outcomes, nurse wound care knowledge and wound healing rates, and new onset psychosis in marijuana users.
