Dr. Lara Latimer holds degrees in Exercise & Sport Science (BS) and Health Education/Health Behavior (MA, PhD). She has over 19 years of experience in the field of health and has been teaching for three and a half years, one and a half of those years have been with Walden University.
Dr. Latimer is currently a Contributing Faculty member in the Walden University School of Health Sciences and teaches Socio-Ecological Perspectives on Health and Applied Research in Public Health. She also teaches an undergraduate class (Child & Adolescent Health) in the Department of Kinesiology & Health Education at another university.
Dr. Latimer's research previously focused primarily on nutrition-related behaviors and obesity treatment/prevention, and she currently owns a consulting business where she helps individuals make behavior changes to improve their health and well-being.
