College of Health Sciences
I hold a DrPH in Health Management and Policy from the University of Kentucky and a MS in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Currently, I serve as an independent contractor for Economics and Decision Sciences to domestic and global public health initiatives. Previously, I served as a Health Scientist in Economics and Decisions Sciences for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Division of Population Health.
I am passionate about making data actionable for evidence-based practice and policy addressing complex health challenges. With over 11 years of professional experience, I actualize this passion through research, teaching/training/capacity building, and speaking engagements, using a people-centered approach. This means, “Who do we serve?” and “What is in it for them?” are the two foundational questions I ask for any research projects, teaching/training activities, and speaking engagements I lead or contribute to. My expertise is in organizational performance analysis, focused on program evaluation, economic evaluation, strategic planning, workforce development, and quantitative policy analysis.
