Kimberly Farris

Dr. Farris currently works for a federal government agency as well as serves as a program evaluation and planning consultant, in Atlanta, GA. As a program evaluation consultant, she works with various non-profit and for-profit organizations, as well as government organizations providing program evaluation technical assistance and consultation services. Prior to starting her own firm, she worked as a Senior Behavioral Scientist for the Army. The program focused on conducting surveillance activities in an effort to decrease the number of suicides/homicides committed by Army Soldiers.

Dr. Farris received her PhD in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, her Master of Social Work degree from Clark Atlanta University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia. Most recently, she completed her Master of Public Health degree from Emory University with a specialization in Prevention Science. She currently resides in Atlanta, but has lived in several other cities over the years including Austin, Philadelphia, Chicago, as well as Washington, DC.

Most of her work has been in public health settings, specifically around health/mental health disparities and has also taught for a number of years online as well as in traditional settings.
