Dr. Cox joined the School of Psychology in 2008. As a faculty member, she primarily mentors dissertation students and teaches doctoral courses in research design and social psychology.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Social Psychology. Her interests include the application of social psychological theory and methods to the understanding of social issues and environmental problems.
Dr. Cox is co-editor and author of the textbook, The Scholar-Practitioner's Guide to Research Design. She is past recipient of the Walden University Bernard L. Turner Award (2015) and the Presidential Research Fellowship in Distance Education (2012).
