Hi Class,

My name is Kim Stansbury and I live in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I have been with Walden University for 9.5 years and thoroughly enjoy the online experience. Fortunately, I have taught in various platforms of learning (online, hybrid, and face-to-face) at other institutions of higher learning and am aware of the benefits/detriments of this platform. If you have any concerns or feedback please feel free to contact me via my Walden email.

I hold a Ph.D. in Gerontology from the University of Kentucky and a MSW from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. I have taught classes across both BSW and MSW curriculum in traditional brick and mortar schools as well as online. Specifically, I have taught diversity, human behavior in the social environment, social work with groups, and various gerontological classes. My research focuses on gerontological mental health literacy. In my spare time, I love to read for pleasure, travel, and spend time in the company of my family and friends.
