Dr. Kecia Freeman is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Human Services at Walden University. Her efforts in social change focus on systems thinking to create systemic solutions that prevent child maltreatment. She has 22 years of employment experiences in the local government sector of Child Welfare Services. Dr. Freeman is a published author and her research interests include Adolescent Dating Violence; Protecting Commercially Sexual Exploited Children; Vicarious Trauma; Reducing the Rate of Recidivism in Work Related Trauma – Practicing Self Care; and Bridging the Gap between Social Work practices and technology.
