Dr. Karla T. Foster received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in June 2001. Dr. Foster is a contributing faculty member in the School of Nursing Program at Walden University. She is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She practiced as an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice for over 7 years where she taught courses in infectious diseases, pharmacy math, and clinical skills for pharmacists. Dr. Foster has certifications in Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery, the Immunization Train-the-Trainer program, and the American Pharmacist Association's (APhA) Delivering Medication Therapy Management Services. Dr. Foster has several publications in the area of pharmacy and pharmacy practice. Dr. Foster currently practices as a research preceptor for an American Society of Health Systems Pharmacist (ASHP) accredited community pharmacy residency program and works as a staff pharmacist. She is licensed in Mississippi and Tennessee.
