Karen Robson

Dr. Karen Robson PhD, DNP, RN-BC, RAC-CT has over two- and one-half decades of full-time clinical experience in caring for older adults requiring long term care services. Dr. Robson obtained a BSN and MSN/ FNP from the University of Scranton, Scranton, PA. Dr. Robson also achieved a Post Masters Teaching Certificate (University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA) and a Post Masters Certificate in Healthcare Informatics (Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA). Wilkes University (Wilkes Barre, PA) is where Dr. Robson attained a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Dr. Robson’s DNP scholarly inquiry investigated the effect of educational interventions including case studies to improve knowledge acquisition among graduate nursing students. Dr. Robson received her PhD (nursing) at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Robson's research interest includes health outcomes associated with antipsychotic medication use among older adults residing in long term care facilities. In addition to full time employment in the clinical arena, Dr. Robson has taught undergraduate and graduate nursing courses since 2010. Dr. Robson holds certification by the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination (AANAC) and the American Nurses Credentialing Association (informatics) (ANCC).
Dr. Robson's research was the recipient of external financial support provided by the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association Foundation (GAPNA) and Sigma Theta Tau, Epi Philson Chapter.
