Judie Forbes is President of Jandr Associates. She holds a BA, Physics with co-majors in Mech. Engr, Math and English Lit, an MS, Engineering Physics, from CSU Fullerton, an MBA from USC, and a Ph.D. in Exec. Mgt. from the Drucker Center at Claremont Graduate University.
Dr. Forbes has served as VP for Academic Affairs of Northcentral University, (a distance learning school), COO for MicroSeptic, Inc. (developing new technology in waste water management), Dir. of Engr for Thomas Lighting, European PM for TRW Transportation Electronics (developing crash detention sensors for air bag systems – a spin off from a missile lift off detector) and various aerospace positions in missile guidance, induced environments and orbital logistics. She has taught, both in the classroom and online all facets of management (Marketing, Econ, Intl Bus, Orgn. Dev., Ethics, Strategic Planning, Leadership, Emerging Technologies, Knowledge Work). She is a contributing faculty member at Walden and has chaired or served on committees for over 200 completed dissertations - 30 of them for Walden students.
Besides SWE, she has served as president of OC chapter of AIAA. She was selected for the outstanding Engineer Merit Award by the Orange County Engineering Council, and Distinguished Alumni by the School of Math, Science and Engineering of CSUF, Excellence in Teaching award from Regis University, and is an IAE Fellow.
Publications include transportation electronics and safety, guidance and navigation, atmospheric radioactivity, failure of metallic orthopedic implants, financial consideration in solar energy systems, engineering skills assessments, strategic planning, knowledge workers, systems management, business ethics, graduate education, and international business.
She is a veteran (USN), a private pilot and aircraft owner, has 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
