Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA)

Dr. John W. Fick, FACHE earned his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Higher Education Administration at Argosy University-Sarasota in July 2007. Previously, he earned a Master of Science degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he majored in Community Health Services. In addition, Dr. Fick is board-certified in healthcare management and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He serves as a full-time Professor of Health Care Leadership in the Graduate College at a private University and has been a full-time faculty member since 2002. Dr. Fick began as a part-time faculty member at Walden in the School of Health Sciences in October 2017. He teaches or has taught courses in Leadership, Management, and Strategic Planning, primarily at the graduate level. His primary research interests include competency-based education and online learning for health administrators. He has presented on these topics at several professional meetings throughout the United States.
