Dr. Bryan was born in Berkeley, CA, raised in La Jolla, CA, and currently resides in Savannah, GA and NC's Outer Banks, with occasional returns to his San Diego roots. He attended University of California San Diego, earned his MBA at Rutgers in New Jersey, and earned his DBA at University of Phoenix with a dissertation of leadership following the conflict in Northern Uganda, a mixed methods study using a modified Delphi approach for the qualitative first phase. Dr. Bryan's professional career has primarily been in business and management consulting on five continents, including projects at gold mines in Chile, where he taught Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt candidates in Spanish, and in Ghana. His academic interest remains in leadership following conflict and he mentors leaders in several countries in Africa. His other interests include singing in a cover band and golf. He has also helped launch more than 60 companies, with his most recent ventures being a biometric technology company with 19 issued or pending patents, a nutritional products company, his third since 2000, a venture that dismantles surplus ships, and a virtual business incubator.
