Jill M. Olausson has been a registered nurse for almost 30 years. Jill received her baccalaureate in nursing degree from Northeastern University, her master of nursing degree in leadership and management from Walden University, and her PhD in Nursing from the University of Utah. She also has a post-masters certification in nursing education. Jill has a wide variety of clinical experience in acute and chronic disease management to inform her new (Fall 2017) role as graduate nursing faculty at Walden University. Jill’s most recent clinical work has been as a certified diabetes educator at a cancer hospital. This experience informed Jill’s research interests and has been the focus of many publications as well as her dissertation research on the experience of individuals who develop new-onset diabetes after cancer treatments. How individual manage complex chronic comorbid conditions remains the focus of Jill’s current research.
