Dr. Gray received his BA in Anthropology from Lehman College (City University of New York), his MS in Counseling from Bank Street College of Education and his PhD. in Human Services/Professional Counseling from Walden University. He spent almost 40 years working in and with New York City schools as a community involvement/substance abuse counselor, teacher, administrator, and school counselor and was also the director of a community mental health center in the Bronx, N.Y., serving over 1200 clients. After a stint as Lead Counselor for School District 2 in New York City and 10 years as a perceptual development counselor, Dr. Gray retired (very early) and now divides his time between his homes in The Bronx, NY and Haifa, Israel. He consults with schools and organizations in the development of effective counseling programs. Dr. Grays's research interests are: School Counseling, diversity, ethical and equitable education for students, Adolescence; Bullying.
Dr. Gray is currently working on a retrospective piece about his years as a counselor with many of his former students, now mature adults.
