Dr. Jennifer Stone is a board certified family nurse practitioner with over 16 years of experience in clinical practice and 9 years of experience teaching in family nurse practitioner programs and doctor of nursing practice programs at both online and brick and mortar universities. At Walden University, she serves as the practicum coordinator for the nurse practitioner program and teaches the clinical faculty orientation.
Dr. Stone's research interests focus on patient adherence and outcomes in the under-served population, as well as student and faculty experiences in online education. Dr. Stone was awarded a $20,000 faculty research initiative grant from Walden University to study the online experience of nurse practitioner students. She served as co-principal investigator for this research study.
Dr. Stone has presented at numerous conferences including the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty and South Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses. She has also published in peer-reviewed journals for her research.
