Jatifha C. Felton received her Post-Master’s Certificate in Adult Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University in 2018 following the completion of her Master of Science in Nursing Education degree from Liberty University in 2016. She has been certified as a critical care registered nurse (CCRN) through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) since 2016.
She began serving as part-time clinical faculty for Walden University’s School of Nursing AGACNP program in October 2019. Since July 2018, Jatifha has worked as an acute care nurse practitioner covering pulmonary critical care and neurosurgical critical care services. Along with these current duties, she serves as a clinical adjunct instructor for undergraduate nursing at various educational institutions. She has maintained her Registered Nurse licensure since 2011 and her Nurse Practitioner licensure since 2018. She has worked as a Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator/ANM, Educator and now NP within the same ICU. Ms. Felton is a published contributor of a nursing textbook, has participated in practice and shared-governance committees, and has been active in education and leadership within critical care.
