Master of Business Administration (MBA)

My name is Dr. Sheedy and I work as a professor in business and management. As a business consultant I have had the opportunity to work and travel to over 85 countries. In the last few years I have visited India, Nepal, Thailand, Haiti, Peru, Mexico, France, Egypt, Jordan, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Israel, and the West Bank of Palestine.

I hold a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business from Northcentral University. I completed four year of post-graduate work in Applied Management and Decision Sciences at Walden University. I hold a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and a degree in Marketing from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. I have a certificate in advanced graduate studies in Applied Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

I live in the Southeast and Midwest, depending on the time of year, and stay very active with volunteer work and helping non-profit organizations. Several times each year I work on building houses for Habitat for Humanity, where I have had the opportunity to build in the United States and abroad. I have been a long term supporter of the Carter Center in Atlanta, GA where I recently served a three year term on the Board of Councilors. The councilors are a leadership advisory group that serves to support the activities of the organization founded and led by former President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. I also work one night a week teaching mentally and physically disabled adults in an adaptive services program.

Through my travels I feel I have become a global citizen who embraces diversity and I continually work to make the world a better place for everyone. My role in this class is not only to educate students on the material, but to serve as a mentor who provides guidance in completing the work in the course. I teach because I enjoy helping others learn and love working in an environment where ideas can be shared.
