Iesiah M. Harris received her PhD in Healthcare Administration at Capella University, May 2013 and Masters in Nursing, Geriatric/Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist degree from Wright State University in June 2006. She currently serves as contributing faculty in Walden University’s School of Nursing Leadership and Management department since November 2018. Dr Harris is licensed in the state of VA (#1279815; exp 5/2020) and holds a Medical-Surgical Nursing certification. Dr. Harris began teaching as an instructor in the United States Air Force (USAF). Courses taught ranged from high reliability organizational training to leadership development. She began teaching nursing as an adjunct professor with Pacific Union College in Agwin, CA in 2015. She has taught Professional Issues in Nursing and Introduction to Research. Professionally, Dr. Harris has served as a leader and mentor to many military as well as civilian healthcare professionals. She is published and has provided a number of presentations on leadership, mentoring, and healthcare related research studies. She served as an Institutional Review Board Member for several years and presented multiple presentations. Her research platforms include deliberate development, mentoring, leadership and geriatrics. Dr Harris retired from the USAF in June 2018 after proudly serving our country for 25 years.
