Dr Sasser is an epidemiologist living and working in Bloomsburg, PA. He received his PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh in April 1999, and has served as contributing faculty in the PhD in Public Health program in the School of Health Sciences since joining Walden University in April 2014. He has taught research design, epidemiology methods, and quantitative analysis at all levels, and has participated in the education of physicians, nurses, dentists, and physical therapists, as well as graduate students. Beyond epidemiology methods, he has taught cardiovascular epidemiology, research ethics, and clinical decision-making. Professionally, he has worked as a researcher in clinical and community-based research settings in a variety of disease processes and health behaviors, serving as a study design expert, statistical analyst, and project evaluator. Out of the classroom, he enjoys running, cooking, photography, and travel.
