Dr. Holly Rick is an Academic Coordinator in the PhD Management program at Walden University. She has a PhD in Organization and Management specializing Leadership from Capella University, MBA from University of Phoenix, a Masters in Information and Library Science, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Finance from Wayne State University. She recently received a graduate certificate in Project Management and has completed nine credits in a master’s degree in Adult Education.
In her role as a Core Faculty at Walden, she teaches the introduction gateway course and mentors doctoral students. She mentors faculty, analyzes the program assessment data, and works with students and faculty on committee configurations. Dr. Rick has taught in higher education for more than 12 years and continues to conduct research in career pathing, the role of library in higher education and assessment. She is active in publishing and presenting her research.
Prior to her work in academia, Dr. Rick was a quality assurance manager in a Fortune 500 banking institution and a loan officer in a regional credit union. She is an active member of the Professional Development Committee for the Mountain Plains Library Association and the Distance Learning Services Research Committee for the Association of College and Research Libraries.
