Holly Godwin received a Bachelor of Science in Health & Exercise Science from Furman University, Master of Science in Public Health, and Doctorate in Public Health from the University of South Carolina . She currently serves as a part-time faculty member at Walden University in the College of Health Sciences. She teaches Public Health courses in the College of Health Sciences. Professionally, Dr. Godwin has worked in a variety structural interventions that take a systems-level approach to reducing obesity and improving nutrition. She served as Director for the South Carolina Farm to Institution Program, Chair of the South Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition and previously held a position on the Executive Board for Eat Smart Move More South Carolina. Her publications and presentations relate to various aspects of socio-cultural influences on nutrition and obesity prevention.
