Dr. Georgia Hobson-Brown's professional practice in healthcare extends to 36 years and Family Nurse Practitioner services for 19 of the 36 years. As a clinician, Cardiac Care, Neurology Med/Surg, PACU- Peds, and Adult Care have been prominent areas of practice. Hospital Administration, as the Director of NP/ PA practice, Case Management, LCSW, Physician Documentation Improvement, Utilization Review Management, and Patient Access revealed successful leadership talents. Three years of additional duties at the University of Phoenix School of Nursing and Health Science faculty have supported a well-rounded career in professional practice. Walden University has provided an opportunity to facilitate professional development for Family Nurse Practitioner students. This assignment solidifies 8 years of clinical and didactic experience. Most recently, Dr. Brown has advanced her practice to Telehealth services specific to the Geriatric population.

Achieving the honor of Doctor of Nurse Practice was the crown jewel of Dr. Brown's professional endeavors. Long-term research in chronic diseases has resulted in an accomplished clinical expert title in Type Two Diabetes and Health Care management for vulnerable populations.

It is important to give back to your community. Therefore, volunteer service as an FNP Parrish Nurse Provider was implemented in 2015. During COVID, the role has been extremely rewarding. This role offers insight into a population's cultural beliefs, healthcare needs, fills the void in patient care access, and the ability to provide culturally sensitive care to an underserved community.
