Dr. Frank Bearden’s formal training is in organizational leadership, where he has served in various roles for over 30 years of his career. Dr. Bearden served as Regional Sales Vice President for MetLife Investors before joining the College for Financial Planning and entering online higher education. At Walden University, he teaches in the Doctor of Business Administration program and works with dissertation students. Dr. Bearden has extensive experience chairing and serving on dissertation committees. His teaching interest includes leadership, management, and research methodology.
Dr. Bearden’s current research interests focus on perception of conflicts of interest in the professions, with a special focus on financial advisors. He has published 9 peer-reviewed publications, over 40 publications in financial advisory trade publications, and 1 book. He has spoken before several financial advisory groups, including the National Conference of the College for Financial Planning.
