Colonel (Ret.) Erich Randall holds a Ph.D. in leadership and retired in 2015 from a 30-year career in the U.S. Army. Dr. Randall spent many years in the Pentagon and in other top-level commands as a senior strategist and military planner. He has worked for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and served as the Director of Strategy for the Chief of the National Guard Bureau. Culminating his career, Dr. Randall was assigned as the Commanding Officer of one of the largest Army installations in the country.
Since 2002, Dr. Randall has been a professor of leadership, communication, and strategic thinking at various prestigious universities. Dr. Randall founded On-Point Strategic Leadership, LLC, a consultancy designed to help organizations and their leaders to achieve strategic objectives through the use of the Tame the Chaos methodology Dr. Randall developed and described in his book, Tame the Chaos: Leveraging the Energy in Complex Systems to Achieve Extraordinary Success. His research interests are in organizational leadership, strategic communication, strategic thinking, systems thinking, and design thinking.
