Mrs. Ellen Nogueira has been a practicing board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2013. She completed her training at multiple military treatment facilities in Hawaii, and developed a special interest in treating mental health disorders. She has been working in health care for the past 13 years.
Mrs. Nogueira has practiced in various settings, to include med-surg, ICU, pediatrics, surgical services, and family practice. She has published in the Journal for Nurse Practitioners, she is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She currently serves as contributing clinical faculty in the MSN NP programs at Walden University, and in the past served as clinical faculty in the BSN program a Hawaii Pacific University.
Additionally, Mrs. Nogueira is currently a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student at the Catholic University of America and expects to complete her studies in early 2020, while also working to obtain her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at George Washington University. Her interests include depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Mrs. Nogueira lives in Virginia Beach with her husband and their two children, and spend their free time between soccer games and the beach.
