Dr. Elizabeth Elad is a strategic-minded professional and teacher, credited with achieving corporate objectives and working collaboratively to design and implement initiatives in support of organizational success. A critical thinker, problem solver and decision-maker with excellent analytical and communication skills alongside a broad functional depth and breadth as it relates to social service provision. Dr. Elad is originally from Cameroon in West Africa. Graduated from Texas Southern University in Houston Texas some years ago with a BSW. After graduation, Dr. Elad relocated to Atlanta Georgia and decided to go back to school after being out for some years and graduated with Masters in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University, and later with a Ph.D. in Social Work, Policy Planning & Administration from the same institution. She has two sons, both in college. Her hobbies are walking 2-3 times weekly for 5 miles and participating in church activities on Sunday. Prior to employment with Walden University, Dr. Elad taught as an adjunct professor for 6 years, specifically, teaching graduate students enrolled in Social Work programs at various Institutions. She also worked as a mental health professional for 20 plus years at various mental health agencies.
