Dr. Townsley is a career nurse starting as a nursing assistance and working through many degree programs to enhance her knowledge. Eventually Dr. Townsley achieved a Masters of Science in Nursing, a Master in Business Administrations, and a Doctorate in Health Administration. Working in health care has provided a wide range of opportunities including working with the Federal and State Government, insurance companies, law firms, hospital organizations, nursing home corporations, and teaching in a variety of settings from Bachelor programs to Geriatric Fellowship programs.
Dr. Townsley has been teaching in many different types of settings from Universities, private organizations, Federal and State governmental meetings, and lawfirms. This teaching started in 1999 with a need to meet others and obtain information from their specific fields of education and study.
Dr. Townsleys role at Walden is to help adult learners be successful in furthering their career and education by providing a holistic and compassionate means of education. She provides not only online classroom teaching, but one-on-one tutoring sessions and group meetings for specific subjects using online zoom classes.
Dr. Townsley loves to learn anything and everything, and believes she learns from the adult learners as much as she is teaching them. Her primary interest are leadership, research, geriatrics, holistic care and treatment including hospice, and APA.
